So, about a week ago five relative strangers and my grandma had a small surprise awaiting them when they logged into this site. They found a placeholder page, saying this domain was bought but not used yet. That is due to a lapse in service that was entirely my fault.
Don’t know if it matters, or is interesting in the least, but that lapse in service ended on the second birthday of thriceberg.com. That’s right, it’s a toddler now.
It’s hard to believe the site is over two years old now. I’ve had so many plans laid out that I never even got close to completing.
The blog is more or less a disposable medium, a public diary you can still be personal in because you can remain anonymous if you so choose. It’s what’s up today, and interesting to browse archives a few years later but not as satisfying as reading something “permanent,” like a good book, or a select few web sites.
I keep bouncing back and forth on what this site should be. I don’t want it to be a personal diary, nor do I want it to be disposable. I originally intended it to be a launch pad for certain projects, but those projects have increased quite a bit in complexity and the “easiest” of them is at least a year off from where I’m at now.
So the question remains, what to do with the site? Make it an end in itself, or shut it down until I can use it for it’s intended purpose? That’s the question I’m facing right now, and to be perfectly honest, it doesn’t look good for the old b-l-o-g.
