More good news!

October 11th, 2007

Just checked LMMS site and saw that a new version was released (about 2 months ago).  LMMS is a Linux music app that acts a lot like Fruity Loops.  It used to be terribly unstable, but with the 0.3.0 version I haven’t got it to crash yet.  In the previous version, simply opening one demo […]

Just happened to check out Synfig’s site for the first time in weeks and saw it has a new version out.  As far as I know only the source code is available right now, meaning unless you know how to build from source you’ll have to wait a bit until someone else does it first.
I […]

Some changes.

October 7th, 2007

Well, Friday and Saturday have been a bit busy for me.  I migrated my blog from Nucleus to WordPress, designed my own theme and struggled with putting it into practice.  And I watched the entire UK series “The Office.”
As for the web site, can’t seem to get the favicon to work, but I’ll sleep on […]

Hooray for choice!!!

October 7th, 2007

A NOTE ABOUT THIS POST:
A few things were broken in this article when I migrated to WordPress. I lost the pictures and the proper link. I will try to find my image backups and the original web page soon.
All this time you’ve been raped by the cable companies and you don’t even know […]

Oh no I didn’t!!

September 14th, 2007

It’s about fucking time, but I finally got my Ubuntu computer online. I could’ve done it months ago, but didn’t want to go through compatibility lists, see what stores have what, etc. Finally did it–from searching the net to walking to the store and buying one, all the way back to putting it into my […]

First, try DVDx. It’s simple, it’s only one program, if it works for you great, keep using it. I have problems with AutoGK stopping in the middle of the project and not telling me why or even that it has. What follows is the method I use.
In DVD Decrypter, right click any of the files […]

New Computer

June 15th, 2007

I’ve recently built a new computer, the one mentioned in an earlier post. Built it a week or so ago, installed Ubuntu Studio, it’s working fine. Better than fine, awesome. All my open source graphics programs work ten times better. Anyway, this is totally how I feel:
(Entitled: Linux User at Best Buy)

Check out the rest […]

Mini post #2

April 6th, 2007

It is 5:30 am on April 06, 2007 in Kansas City, KS, and it is in fact snowing. Nothing’s sticking and I bet it’ll stop once the sun comes out, but still. It was so cold today I thought it might snow, but I figured it wasn’t cold so much as colder than it has […]

Nice try, Google

April 1st, 2007

Just wanted to say, for the record, at 7:15 am, nice try Google. Free broadband by flushing fiber optic cable down the toilet. April Fools.
Sorry Google, better luck next year.

RepRap!!!

February 18th, 2007

Been checking up on RepRap’s site every few weeks. It’s pretty cool. For those unfamiliar:
-”RepRap is short for Replicating Rapid-prototyper.” Rapid Prototyping device (aka 3d printer)
-Currently only working with plastics, but will have capability for many things (see below)
-It’s goal is the ability to be assembled for […]
